To be reminded
And breathe, well for a short while anyway because right now I feel as though I’m full of excitement and potential as to what’s to come.
I feel as though flames have been fanned in me and the experience and joy hoped to share has been felt and possible ignited some flames in others as well.
Witnessing the reaction to the space and John’s beautiful and captivating work was a reminder of the importance of art and gatherings such as these to our well being and general perception about how to spend time and what is necessary – art is necessary, gathering together is necessary and creating opportunities for beautiful shared moments is a must.
The private view
The nerves! These events are full of a world of emotions from excitement to anxiety to fear and just general arrrghhh! if that can be an emotion but for me mostly it was filled with “right! let’s do this – but have I done enough?”. I suppose this is a good feeling but one that never seems to leave me. All the same after a successful evening I think I did – however I did make that fatal error of forgetting to take pictures! I remember reading about another event on instagram were some family friends had come together for the first time in months. She commented on how they forgot to get the obligatory group photo. I commented that they were so pleased to be together that they forgot – it seems the same thing happened here.
Note to self – must get a photographer next time!

A beautiful space, filled with inspiring artwork. Not to mention a tranquil place to either shop or work, a combination rare to encounter. Love it!
Stepping into this space, full of pieces that draw you to them, question you and sometimes challenge you; makes it feel like time has slowed or paused. Being allowed to be present in the here and now, to just look & absorb the stories around you is a delight. A haven, a reflective space and a wonderful chance to meet amazing creative people.
Beautiful space filled with beautiful pieces. A real gem in Watford. As a creative I feel so inspired. Amazing!
