Before you go…

I have such mixed feelings around this time of the year. As someone who was raised in a Christian household, this season holds a certain significance but also doesn’t because the traditions that we upheld were not just for this time of the year. Giving thanks, being grateful, showing love is something that I strive to maintain all the time.

Rituals and traditions are important, they connect us to the past and add value to the present. They can enrich us and inspire us to draw on valuable wisdom that can help us in our everyday lives.

Christmas cards by Amma Gyan
This Christmas when wrapping up your presents, why not add a gift that can't be bought, one that is from your heart - one that demonstrates how you feel about that person that only you can say and that only they would understand.

The act of gifting our loved ones at Christmas was originally done in celebration and worship – we don’t necessarily worship those we are buying for, but there might be an emotion that we might want to share with them. Maybe it’s a love of their generosity or gratitude for their patience. Maybe it’s thanks for their presence, one way or another taking these emotions into account when in search for gifts may help to find the right item for them.

You Mean so much to me - thank you.
