Who is Amma Gyan?
This is me, I’m Amma and a few years ago I thought it would a wonderful idea to create a space that nurtured and inspired creativity. A place where artists and creative people could come together to collaborate and create art.
A few years have past since opening, there have been beautiful moments, challenges and opportunities for growth, but above all, Amanartis has established its self as a unique destination and experience. People have gathered, made connections and friendships and have formed a community.
Art as a means of reflecting the world around us, has been used this way since the first makes were made. It was powerful then and is powerful now. In our time in this world, I believe we all essentially hope for much of the same, connection to others, opportunities for love, friendship, joy and freedom, things that at times we may take for granted. As my own personal journey as an artist evolves, I’m compelled to tell stories that I hope will encourage others to actively seek out these desires, unite and respond to a cause that brings people together in an understanding that there is more that unites us than separates us.
The world when treated with love and respect for all in it, is a wondrous and beautiful place, perfectly balanced. My intention is to do what I can to support that balance and I believe art is the way.
Let’s gather, talk, learn from one another and grow together.
a place to gather
Art
Beauty and the beholder; one is what you are hoping to experience and one is what you are told to experience.
We are all part of the great beauty of balance – nature. Depictions of landscapes, nature wildlife have enthralled us and will continue to do so for many years to come – there is joy in this which I support, however to broaden our understanding of wholeness I encourage work that has a social commentary. Representations of experiences and feelings that ask us to see things in a different way are welcomed as I believe this is how we as a human race will evolve.
Support
Amanartis also hosts a growing team of experts, providing a network of support available to artists, as well as other individuals when you become a member.
Inspiring value in creativity and nurturing young minds is close to the heart of Amanartis and uses a focused initiative to encourage young artists and entrepreneurs from as early as possible with the objective being to show the prospects and opportunities of a creative career.Resources that offer information relating to access to entry of various creative careers are available to members of Amanartis.
work
Sometimes I like to work from home, other times at the studio. In the warmer months outside looking at the grounds of the cemetery. This change of scenery refreshes my mind.
The Chapel offers a relaxed co-working setting where a desk can be reserved on a daily, weekly or monthly basis – it’s small and intimate with a welcoming home from home feel. In April 2024 Amanartis will be expanding into Atria Watford, where the same experience offered at the Chapel can be enjoyed in a more central location. Studio space will be available as well as co-working options. Get in contact for more details.

Love and support...
…and without it I wouldn’t be here today being able to share this fantastic space and opportunity with you all. I had an idea, a dream – hope and ambition but without support to bring all those things together, the journey would have been quite different and maybe not even possible – thank you to all those along the way. You know who you are.
Lastly this is a special thanks to all those who believed in me, shared in the idea of serving one another through creativity and for all those who have supported me in my own personal journey, which is what has ultimately brought me here.
I’m really looking forward to sharing the same love and support with you.
I’m so excited, I hope you are to.
Amma Gyan.
